What does, "Add Glitter" mean?

Add Glitter means to have a glittery spray added to your shirt after it is airbrushed. The results are spectacular and give an immediate vibrancy to the final product. Below are a before and after of a shirt with and without glitter. The overall effect is quite nice however it is not sustainable through washing. How big will the design be on the shirt?

Great question, however the answer isn't so simple.

We typically design each shirt so that the design will fill the chest are of the shirt. However because of the different sized shirts involved, smaller shirts tend to be "filled" while the larger shirts (2XL-5XL) tend to be more chest sized.

In general, our design are made to be approx. 17"x17" in size, although this wouldn't obviously fit on a 4T Toddler shirt. In that case we would down size to fit the design on the front of the whole shirt.

Some designs are taller than others, and just the opposite is true, where other designs are wider than others.

Either way, we do our best to make the over design "fit" the selected shirt while still making an attractive presentation.

If you have specific questions reguarding size of a specific design on a specific shirt style and size, please contact us.

How does this work?  Good Question!

In an attempt to offer more than just plain T-shirts to our customers, we are now listing many styles of shirts, sweaters, hoodies, infant shirts and more on our site.  The largest selection of airbrushed designs and clothing is now on one website, and in one store.  We have provided alot of information about all of the clothing listed, so that you can make a better decision when selecting your clothing.

As we continue to grow and become America's #1 Source for Airbrushed Clothing and services, we are adding new designs and clothing styles weekly.

Shopping online has three basic steps;

1. Browse through all of our designs, and add the one that you want to your shopping cart.  Click on Continue shopping after your design has been added to your cart.

2. Now Browse through all of our clothing options, once you find the shirt or sweater that you would like the design on, add it to your cart.

3. Continue this process for all of the shirts that you would like, then Continue with your checkout.  If you have a multi-shirt order and there will be different designs on different shirts, please note which shirt goes with which design.

It is very important that you realize that all of the designs on this site are sold seperately from the clothing.  Any order submitted that doesn't have a clothing item will encounter processing delays.

Do you airbrush on black shirts?

Do you airbrush on black or other dark colors?

NO!

Sorry at this time we do not airbrush on dark colored shirts. All of our paints are translucent, and if we paint yellow or red on a black shirt, it shows up as a wet spot on the cloth. Even our white colored paint doesn't show very well on dark colors because of the way that it soaks into the cloth.

So at this time we are unable to paint on dark colored shirts.

Can I wash my shirt?

Yes

By following the recommended washing guides, your airbrushed shirt should provide many years of use and should keep you style'n.

We will provide basic washing instructions with every shirt we make. We have reports of airbrushed shirts that have lasted 10 years with proper care, although the shirts usually start to give out before the paint. If you need a new set of washing instructions, contact us by phone or email and we can give them to you.

More Info;

T-Shirt Paint manufacturers such as Createx, have a strict process to make sure that the paint will last a very long time. The process usually involves "baking" or "Heat Setting" the paint after the artwork is complete. Issues with washability have surfaced because Airbrush Artist and other small airbrush shops have knowingly skipped this important heat setting process for reasons of speed, and cost. The faster they finish a shirt, the more they can do in a given time period. Like wise, the cost of the equipment to properly heat set the clothing is expensive, and most small shops or "backyard" artist can't fund purchasing the necessary equipment to provide this service.

1800AIRBRUSH.com heat sets all of our finished artwork, and this heat set process makes the paint washable and durable. Although this process is time consuming and can really slow things down, we would rather provide a quality product, or no product at all.

Do you offer multiple shirt discounts?

Yes

We offer quantity discounts starting at ten shirts or more.

We do not offer quantity discounts in a traditional manner that a screen printer would.

Screen printers typically have artwork and set up fee that they can obsorbe when fullfilling large orders. In the world of airbrushing, the first shirt takes just as long to paint as the 100th shirt.

There are other variables involved such as design complexity and required completion time.

For an accurate quote please call.

Do I have to pay upfront?

Yes All orders are prepaid in full at the time of order. No exceptions.

I need a lot of shirts. Do you offer discounts on large orders?

YES

We can handle any order from 1-100 or even more. Just keep in mind that large quantity orders need to be placed far enough in advance to allow time for each shirt to be painted.

With our new printing method we are able to make large "non airbrushed" orders much faster without sacraficing quality.

Quantity discounts typically start at 10 items, however for an accurate quote, please call the store.

Can you paint a sample for me first so that I can see if I like it or not?

No. We can, however, draw a sketch of the basic layout and based on the level of skill as shown in the artwork in our portfolio, this should give you a good idea of what we can do for you. We can in turn email you the sketch or post it so that you can review it. We will not do more than three sketches. Just a reminder, these are rough sketches and not detailed or finished products.

Can I get two designs on one shirt?

YES you can! When ordering online, just pick out the two designs that you want and add them to your cart. In the comment sections note which side you would like which design. Thats it, its that simple.

Can I change a stock design?

We can change any color, name, shape, font, text and language that you specify. Note that any digital transfer designs cannot be change, only the airbrushed designs can be changed .

Can I bring in my own shirt?

Yes and No

Note there is a $10.00 Surcharge on any shirt that is brought in.

Not all shirts were designed with having them decorated or painted on and could be damaged during the "cure" process. We stock many styles and sizes of shirts for your convience, and we recommend purchasing one of our shirts for the reasons listed below.

First we only paint on White or Light colored shirts, we do not paint on dark or black shirts. The shirt has to be clean and dry and BRAND NEW, we will not work on a used shirt.

We can paint on cotton, polyester, and rayon, but materials like satin and silk cannot be sprayed as they are a looser weave and the paint doesn't stick as well as cotton fibres.

After completing every shirt, the artwork is heatset at 350 Degrees, which "sets" the paint and allows the garment to be washed. It has been known that some outside shirts brought in will discolor and turn a yellowish color after this heat setting process. If you supply your own shirt it is at your own risk and we will not replace it, if it is damaged while in our possession.

Can I bring in my own design or photo for you to work from?

YES you can

If you have a drawing or picture, please make sure it is clear and understandable. We can then make it just as it is, or make improvements and or changes as you wish. Just remember that if we are working from a photograph, we need the best possible picture quality to ensure that the end product is as accurate as possible.

Please remember that we are not machines, and we do not offer photo realistic artwork. We do our very best to paint accurate renderings of the photos that you provide. If you would like to see example of our photographic renderings, feel free to visit our gallery of artwork performed for other customers.
